Dominic Edozie Adagbonyin better known as D.O.L.O. doesn’t take the meaning of his name lightly. Die Once Live Once, is a name that was given to him by his brother when he was just a youngin. Motivated by the death of his mother, this twenty-five year old artist is determined to push his music even harder. “Before My Time” is his latest album that dropped September 29, 2015. What A Time To Be Alive

Drake & Future tape, “What A Time To Be Alive”, has the Hip Hop scene Boomin’. Some people feel like it could have been better. Others feel that this project is mirroring Jay and Kanye’s “Watch The Throne”  or Birdman and Wayne’s “Like Father Like Son” album. Personally, it seems like in order to make quality music for the fans, you have to collaborate with other artists just to make a classic tape. Each artist can stand on their own without question but does that cause a debate on who is the better artist when they collab? It is similar to the NBA with all these outrageous trades. Prime example, Lebron left for Miami and got two rings with D. Wade and Chris Bosh. He then went back to Cleveland and put up numbers but then lost overall. Can Future or Drake get to the top with and without each other? Both are hot, but numbers don’t lie.

2015 MTV Video Music Awards

There were many losers and winners at this years VMAS as there is every year because many artists are nominated for each category but there can only be one winner. This also goes for the fashions that graced the red carpet this year…..many losers. Is this a circus or an award show? I could not tell the difference. I will just say that I have seen circuses more elegant and stylish than Sunday nights award show.

We will start with the losers, the many losers 🙁

For starters, The BIGGEST loser, Miley Cyrus. As if her hosting the award show wasn’t enough torture. I cringed at every single outfit change. It is understandable that she desires to differentiate Hannah Montana from her true self, but the craziness overshadows the real beauty and talent Miley possesses.

I do not consider anyone a winner this year, but if I had to pick it would be Britney Spears. This may be a sympathy vote because I grew up a huge Britney fan and I am glad to see her healthy and happy. Her physique is looking great, giving the old Britney a run for her money.

KD Young Cocky Rises In The Heat of The Moment

KD Young Cocky, is a Chicago artist that continues to push weight with his music. With his latest 11 track project “Heat of the Moment”, that dropped July 28th, he created more buzz about his artistry than before. “If you ain’t getting money what you come around for?” That is the question that KD Young Cocky asks in his song “Check Up”. This song is dope because it expresses the point of the come up, which is to elevate oneself as an individual and to make money. Well, at least that’s what most of us desire. I also really like his track “Boss Up” ft. Neil gang discussing how he rocks with a certain female.

Not only is KD Young Cocky an artist but he is a great father to his little girl. Although he started his music way before his daughter was born, he feels that she has been a bigger motivation on his road to success.
