Is Money Needed to Have a Successful Relationship?

Out of 100%, what percent of that is based on finances when it comes to having a successful relationship? I hear a lot of men say that finances should not be a priority in a relationship, while a majority of women are quick to say, “Love don’t pay no BILL’s”. However, it is my belief that financial stability from both partners plays an elite role when it comes to having a successful relationship. I also feel that those who say having money is not an essential part of a relationship, have the word relationship confused with the antonym, “LAYING UP”…Because that’s all both parties will do if there are no funds circulating. What yall think?

  1. Money is important and must be considered for a serious relationship especially if the people are considering living w/each other or being married which in that matter would have to take on each others debt! But as far as women being more concerned i believe tht stems from “back n the day”. Since men use to be the ONLY source of income women had to take into account and depend on their mates $ and while tht may not be the case anymore the mindset is still there.

  2. If you have a broke mentality you will attract a broke man. Too many people are playing successful. Women do it just as much as men do, knowing they should not be buying all dem clothes and aint got nothing to sit on or eat on at home. There is an art to prosperity, and I got the paintbrush.

  3. KEYS to relationships are communication, mutual respect for one another and having goals that complement regardless if they are financial, family, career, etc. If both people are cool with being broke and blowing their $$ then yes they can have a successful relationship. If two people are career orientated their relationship may not prosper if they are pulled in different directions. Often times its the potential a person has for greatness that men and women should key in on as opposed to whats in their wallet. If your relationship has the KEYS above, a good woman or man will inspire their partner to achieve greatness.

  4. I do feel that having a good financial status is an important PART of a successful relationship. There are differences of opinion among gender on this issue because men look for beauty and women look for security and stabililty. I also believe finances and money should never become a whole in the relationship; once its gone, what will u have left?

  5. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
