Aysia BerLynn Interview

Juicy Peach: When did you fall in love with music

Aysia: I think I’ve been in love with music all my life. I can remember my mom listening to Anita Baker when I was little and I never imagined doing anything else besides music. There are a lot of people who want to be lawyers and doctors and I just always thought that I would be a singer or doing something with music.

Juicy Peach: When did you first decide to become an artist?

Aysia: I first decided to become an artist at the age of 13. My parents bought me a keyboard and I would sit and write songs about everything. I started performing and I was like this is what I want to do and I’m going to do it. I’ve been in 3 groups since I started and now I’m just on my own doing my own thing.

Juicy Peach: Why did the groups stop?

Aysia: I was in groups with rappers and we were young, there were so much things going on. That was the first group that I was in it was called “Elite”. Then I was in this large group of neo Soul artists and rappers. They were all older than me like 30’s and I moved away to college and I didn’t go back and I started working on my own stuff.

Juicy Peach: What is the most meaningful song that you’ve written?

Aysia: So far it would be “Anybody” from my mixtape because I thought about so many women/girls going through situations. It flowed right out of me, I didn’t even realize what I was writing at the time but after listening to it it gives me chills. So yeah that would be it.

Juicy Peach: How have you been getting your name out there to the public?

Aysia: At one point of time I was doing shows. I’m slacking on the shows but I put my music out on every website that I could find. Also word of mouth, I get my copies made and I hand them out. Im getting ready to go full forced, I’m about to get some posters down and go hard with my own street team and supporting myself. I don’t really have a lot of people to work with me but everything that I have done thus far has been on my own.

Juicy Peach: Who is your favorite singer?

Aysia: My favorite singer was Aaliyah, I just loved how she let it all out and kinda had a soft delivery but now my favorite singer is Jill Scott.

Juicy Peach: What is your ultimate goal for your music?

Aysia: I don’t just want people to know me as a singer I want them to know me for my lyrics. I want to write for people for the most part. I think everybody should know exactly who I am so they can hear what I’m saying that’s really important to me. Cause im not sitting up talking about some off the wall stuff everything that I feel is deep. I just want people to know how I am as a person and LISTEN TO THE LYRICS.

Juicy Peach: How many mixtapes have you delivered?

Aysia: This is my first mixtape. The very first cd that I put out last year had two songs on there those were kind of done on a limb I just wanted to get them out there but this is my first mixtape with 17 tracks on it all written by me.

Juicy Peach: If you could have a conversation with anybody dead or alive who would it be and why?

Aysia: I would like to have a conversation with Donny Hathaway because I listened to his music and it’s like so deep and I would like to know where he got the inspiration for his songs and I would like to know exactly why did he decide to kill himself because his music was so awesome. It seems like we always loose the people who thinks outside of the box in a whole different way.

Juicy Peach: Specifically what’s next for you?

Aysia: I really want to find some type of label that would be interested in my music I also want to go with some publishing companies because like I said previously I really want to write for people and that’s basically what I really want to do. So I’m going to go hard on that and try to find someone to support me for me and the music that I like to write. I don’t want to change I just want to be orginal. So that’s next on my list.

Gunnar/Logan Interview

Juicy Peach: What inspired you to make Unforgivable?

Gunnar: Okay well here’s the story Logan introduced me to this group of rappers called “NWA”. He basically introduced me to Ice Cube and  when I heard their lyrics they were really tyrannical lyrics I thought it was really funny and I don’t really care about rap but I thought that they were really funny and it made me start thinking about saying really funny crazy things. Also inspiration came from the P Diddy commercial for Unforgivable Cologne. Unforgivable Cologne commercial was banned from television because they had a crazy interracial scene.

Juicy Peach: What do you think the #1 unforgivable thing in the world is?

Gunnar: Most unforgivable thing is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

Juicy Peach: What are your goals for your videos?

Gunnar: I don’t have any goals really as far as the videos go. Unforgivable really came from boredom and we were misguided on another project we were doing and it just kind of happened so there was no goal there. But for our other videos I would like for people to watch and support.

Logan: yeah we really would like for people to take the time out to get to know us and our new videos.

Juicy Peach: Unforgivable has 16,552,294 views as of July 5 6:58pm. How did it make you feel to know that the video was so successful?

Gunnar: It makes me kind of feel dejected because it’s kind of unfair cause the projects that we actually worked on and had a goal at hand didn’t do as well as “Unforgivable”. We’d like people to spend time with them. “Unforgivable” was like a fluke. Lol I find myself laughing at it each time.

Logan: we’ve spent so little time with “Unforgivable” that it’s hard for us to feel what others feel about it because it literally took no effort at all.

Juicy Peach: I still think that unforgivable is an epidemic!

Juicy Peach: What was your favorite unforgivable clip?

Gunnar: Favorite unforgivable clip-The Visitor

Juicy Peach: Who is Bovice and Van? Are they real characters or fictional?

Gunnar: Van is actually a kid I met in elementary school and Bovice is someone I made up right there.

Juicy Peach: Was any of your videos based off truth?

Gunnar: Well I may have seen someone watching date movie and I wanted to put on a DVD so yeah.

Juicy Peach: If you could be any animal who would you be and why?

Gunnar: I would most definitely be a cuddle fish because they have something called promatefors they are like pigment cells and I think those were very cool when I read about cuddle fish.

Juicy Peach: Who do you admire as a comedian?

Gunnar: Well as for as a comedian I don’t really know because I don’t really know anything about comedy I’m not like a stand up guy. I actually kind of hate it but I think that Kelcy Grammar Fraiser is really funny.

Juicy Peach: Are you interested in entertainment?

Gunnar: No and I’m sure I won’t have any other opportunities so no not really.

Juicy Peach: Why don’t you have any social networks like Twitter or Facebook?

Gunnar: I’m not into any of the stuff and I also don’t have a computer.

The man behind the camera

Juicy Peach: How hard was it to keep your composure while filming unforgivable?

Logan: Quite difficult Gunnar can be very persuasive making someone laugh I’ll tell you that. It was difficult the evidence was right there.

Juicy Peach: Who idea was it to film in the woods?

Logan: We were filming in the woods already another movie called buy and it was a piece of shit so we got frustrated and we started making our own jokes.

Juicy Peach: How did you and Gunnar meet?

Logan: We met in chemistry in 9th grade and we persuaded each other to start a band and we started playing music in high school.

Juicy Peach: What other projects have you filmed?

Logan: Other projects- big shout out to Chase Hildruth he’s one of the stars of “Fruit Head” that’s one thing I want everyone to know about is “Fruit Heads” cause that’s our big project at the moment we trying to take “Unforgivable” out of the picture with this one in terms of new content.  My new short film called “I Remember Everything” that I had for about two years I just recently finished it. Also I’m in this hip-hop group in California Greenovamusic.bandcamp.com. I would like for everyone to know that we love them.

Juicy Peach: What are your film goals?

Logan: I’ve been filming since I was very young so now my goal is to keep making films and keep being true to myself. Try to be as good as I can be and reach as many people as I can without compromising.

Juicy Peach: How many DVD’s were sold from unforgivabledvd.com?

Logan: Like 10 or 11 lol. We never actually took orders for them. The people who did send money we just refunded them. I think that we started that like 3 years too late it wasn’t mean to be. But they have been available to people free for years so there is not really a point to charge for them.

Matt Theron Interview

Juicy Peach: When did you fall in love with music?

Matt: As a child.. My mom listened to a lot of music going to sleep so I’ve been having love for music since I was very very little.

Juicy Peach: At what point did you decide to become an artist?

Matt: My senior year of high school. It was more of like a joke cause when I started we were doing a video in my media class and we were like we should do music for it. And I had a friend who did music so I was like cool I’ll hop on it and do music. So I was like I minus well try it!

Juicy Peach: What level of support do you receive from your fans, friends, and family?

Matt: Yeah the support I have is crazy..especially after this last mixtape and seeing the support and love behind it is amazing. I have more than the average rapper would have cause to most people “No Angel” is my first mixtape and I’ve gotten over 100 likes almost 200 likes on facebook through datpiff.com  and over 1,000 views on and a bunch of mixtapes on a bunch of different websites I have it placed on. So the support is amazing.

Juicy Peach: I heard a clip of the breakup song on your mix-tape, are you a Wale fan?

Matt: Yeah! When I heard that Wale track I was like this is dope then I found the instrumental and was like I have to do something to this. That More About Nothing is probably on my  top 5 mixtapes.

Juicy Peach: What artist do you relate to the most?

Matt: It used to be Kanye West back in the college dropout days but now he’s rich now so I really can’t relate to that so now it will be people like Lupe, he’s still rapping about more general stuff for as realistic stuff I can relate to. Also I could relate to Wale before the MMG signing so yeah people like that. Nobody who is too major right now.

Juicy Peach: Who was your inspiration for track number 12 “When It All Comes Down”?

Matt: That seems to be everyone’s favorite track because I think that was one of my first tracks that I actually pulled emotions into it and it was an ex because she actually asked me to write her a song and I kinda like blew her off like ha ha you think im gone write you a song. But then I was like ok I’ll write you a song. I wrote the first verse then I stopped and she was like are you going to finish it and I was like maybe. Then I heard my friends mixtape and he wrote a song about an ex , he wrote a full song and he was like I wrote this song in tears and I was like if he can sit here and write a song going in tears and finish it then shouldn’t nothing stop me from finishing this song so I sat down to finish the song. I actually sent it to her and she heard it on her facebook and called me in tears talking bout how she enjoyed it and everything. Yeah so the relationship with her was crazy so that was a lot of inspiration.

Juicy Peach: What advice would you give to men who have a good woman by their side but continue to take her for granted?

Matt:  I say if you take it for granted you deserve to lose it. Because I’ve done that before and I’ve taken it for granted. No person who’s not treasuring what they have don’t need it. Everything I’m bless with I treasure cause at any time I can loose it. I could step in the studio one day and couldn’t rhyme then im done rapping. I could step behind photoshop and couldn’t make a picture then I’m done with graphics. I’m blessed everyday to be able to do what I’m doing. If you don’t treasure it you don’t deserve it.

Juicy Peach: What do you want your fans to know about you?

Matt: This is my fourth mixtape a lot of people don’t know but on my second one I said I was gone stop rapping because I’m going to college and the only reason while I’m still rapping now is because I want to show people better. I’m tired of listening to music on the radio and hearing the trash that’s getting played so I’m like I have to show people that there’s more to the rap game than what the radio, MTV, and BET offers. There’s a lot more to what’s perceived as rap. I’m not doing it to become famous I’m just doing it to speak my views of how it could be done from a different stand point.

Juicy Peach: Tell me about your graphic designer work?

Matt: I started my graphics company Team Incredible a year ago July 10.  It started off real low key but by August or September of last year I starting doing stuff for a lot of bigger people. I’ve done stuff for Louis Reed, Young Dro, Nelly, TI, and Down Low for Travis Porter. I’m also doing work for artists who’ve done stuff for Tapemasters Inc. and some more people. I’m blessed I thank god everyday that I can get behind photoshop  and come up with fresh ideas cause the graphic game is always changing.

Juicy Peach: What are your future music goals?

Matt:Right now my dj has me working relenctless and after “No Angel” people are asking when’s the next one coming so my future goals is to drop more mixtapes and maybe get a little more recognition but maybe not. If I blow up then yayyy but if I don’t its nothing major. I’m after my degree right now. But my major goal right now is to step my lyrics up right now cause that was the one thing that people said they didn’t like about “No Angel” they told me I was good but there’s a lot of potential there so I’m gone step up my lyrics and try more things with the music. After doing the club tracks I did on “No Angel” I can see that I can do a little more so I want to test the things I can do.

Juicy Peach: Explain your entire affiliate group.

Matt: Music-Ems-group my friend started Engineer Money Sqad then I started No Sirens because people were asking are ya’ll EMS like the medical transport center. It means our music kills and you hear no sirens. Team Inc, graphics company and I just recently started  entertainment company called Limitless Entertainment to bring parties to Rolla, Missiouri.

Dread Interview

Juicy Peach: Explain your love for music?

Dread: Music is so powerful. Almost bigger than religion. A classic will be played 100 years from now and the feelings will still be there.

Juicy Peach: When did you first decide to become an artist?

Dread: Probably 11th grade of high school in La, I was in this rap group called gooniez. We did local talent shows and after a year we all decided to go solo.

Juicy Peach: Are you still cool with the members?

Dread: Yeah some of them.

Juicy Peach: How did you come up with your name?

Dread: I looked up the definition of dread and it said to be cautious of someone. It fits me with my music. To dread me is to know that my music goes hard. It has a double meaning. Many people only assume my name comes from my hair.

Juicy Peach: What are your music goals for 2011?

Dread: For 2011 I plan to drop 5 music videos. Big videos. I plan to release crayons my new mixtape September 11, at least that’s the plan. I want to start tour in December. My biggest goal is to be on xxl top 10 freshmen. Everything is planning out how I wanted it to.

Juicy Peach: What can you bring to the music industry?

Dread: Money will never get into the creativity of my music. A lot of people creativity and music is influenced by money. When money starts to get into the way of your music things will start to go wrong. I will never at one point put money into the creativity of my music. I will always talk to my fans like I’m normal. Cause I am normal. The only difference between me and my fans is that I’m on TV. I told my mom when I get on I want her to be in charge of my finances. I don’t want her to tell me how much I have. I just want to know that we’re good.

Juicy Peach: Who is your favorite artist?

Dread: As far as creativity I mess with two people and that’s kid cuddi and kanye west.

Juicy Peach: What artist would you like to work with most?

Dread: The first person I would like to work with is Jill Scott as far as a dude goes I will work with Wale.

Juicy Peach: Who is flight league? How did that begin?

Dread: Sophomore year at JSU I needed to create a team of people that was self made, a team where we didn’t have to hit up other people to get photo shoots, graphics, or beats. I wanted to show young people like me that there is talent out there. Flight League is the reason why I came this far. When I get on the labels can’t tell me shit. I have my own team. Really, labels want to see that. I have a producer, photographer, graphic designer, and other artists that I’m trying to come out with. 70 percent of flight league is from Chicago.

Juicy Peach: I know that you are focused but explain your love life. Are you single? In a relationship?

Dread: Well I’m single right now Jackson doesn’t really give you a big choice. The  reason why I’m single and so focused is because when I get on the real test to find love will begin. I’m looking forward to the challenge of peeping out whose real and who’s fake. And who will love me generally or who’s looking for the money. Lol I want to see if I can handle it.

Juicy Peach: If you could be any color crayon out of the 24 box what color would it be?

Dread: I would be black because black defines the lines. It’s such a strong color, nothing can overpower black

After this intriguing interview Dread blessed me with a sneak peek of his new song titled unfaithful. Unfaithful is not released yet but will be when it is ready.
