To Lurk or not to lurk? That is the question

Okay readers this topic is a huge controversy. Should people go through their mate’s phone? I personally believe that there is no way you should go through your mate’s phone. Where is the trust? Lurking through their phone makes you insecure right? Well I must admit I am GUILTY! I looked through my x-boyfriends phone before. My intent was only to use the phone because my phone was broken at the time, but then I became curious. The infamous quote written by Eugene O’Neil is “curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.” My heart shattered when I found things in his phone that I didn’t expect to see. There were photos of other women, dirty text messages, and more dirty texts! Eventually I was satisfied and glad that I now knew the truth about my man because I honestly didn’t know that it was like that. But it shouldn’t have taken all of that for me to find out the truth. I would rather have him tell me that he was cheating than for me to find out that way. If I have any doubts in the future even the slightest doubt I will trust my impulses. The hurt that I felt from looking in the phone was so painful that I never want to feel that again. I asked Team Flavor to help me distinguish some pros and cons towards searching through a phone but we came up with more cons than pros.

+ (If they are cheating you will now know for sure)

– (If you get caught lurking and their innocent, they will not trust you)

+ (searching through their phone will reveal their true self)

– (Lurking will get addicting,)

– (now your partner has ground to search your phone)

– (they will keep throwing it in your face when in the middle of an argument)

– (you will be labeled as insecure)

I’ve learned from my past and after reviewing the pros and cons list I don’t want to lurk through another phone. I’m going to trust my intuitions and be aware of any red flags that may occur throughout the relationship. Most likely when you feel like something is not right you are correct.

Some obvious red flags that your mate is talking to others are

  • Flips the phone over after texting and  receiving text messages
  • Takes the phone everywhere with them, even to the bathroom
  • Flips out if you slightly touch their phone

Okay readers what do you choose? To lurk or not to lurk? Choose your destiny!

Dread Interview

Juicy Peach: Explain your love for music?

Dread: Music is so powerful. Almost bigger than religion. A classic will be played 100 years from now and the feelings will still be there.

Juicy Peach: When did you first decide to become an artist?

Dread: Probably 11th grade of high school in La, I was in this rap group called gooniez. We did local talent shows and after a year we all decided to go solo.

Juicy Peach: Are you still cool with the members?

Dread: Yeah some of them.

Juicy Peach: How did you come up with your name?

Dread: I looked up the definition of dread and it said to be cautious of someone. It fits me with my music. To dread me is to know that my music goes hard. It has a double meaning. Many people only assume my name comes from my hair.

Juicy Peach: What are your music goals for 2011?

Dread: For 2011 I plan to drop 5 music videos. Big videos. I plan to release crayons my new mixtape September 11, at least that’s the plan. I want to start tour in December. My biggest goal is to be on xxl top 10 freshmen. Everything is planning out how I wanted it to.

Juicy Peach: What can you bring to the music industry?

Dread: Money will never get into the creativity of my music. A lot of people creativity and music is influenced by money. When money starts to get into the way of your music things will start to go wrong. I will never at one point put money into the creativity of my music. I will always talk to my fans like I’m normal. Cause I am normal. The only difference between me and my fans is that I’m on TV. I told my mom when I get on I want her to be in charge of my finances. I don’t want her to tell me how much I have. I just want to know that we’re good.

Juicy Peach: Who is your favorite artist?

Dread: As far as creativity I mess with two people and that’s kid cuddi and kanye west.

Juicy Peach: What artist would you like to work with most?

Dread: The first person I would like to work with is Jill Scott as far as a dude goes I will work with Wale.

Juicy Peach: Who is flight league? How did that begin?

Dread: Sophomore year at JSU I needed to create a team of people that was self made, a team where we didn’t have to hit up other people to get photo shoots, graphics, or beats. I wanted to show young people like me that there is talent out there. Flight League is the reason why I came this far. When I get on the labels can’t tell me shit. I have my own team. Really, labels want to see that. I have a producer, photographer, graphic designer, and other artists that I’m trying to come out with. 70 percent of flight league is from Chicago.

Juicy Peach: I know that you are focused but explain your love life. Are you single? In a relationship?

Dread: Well I’m single right now Jackson doesn’t really give you a big choice. The  reason why I’m single and so focused is because when I get on the real test to find love will begin. I’m looking forward to the challenge of peeping out whose real and who’s fake. And who will love me generally or who’s looking for the money. Lol I want to see if I can handle it.

Juicy Peach: If you could be any color crayon out of the 24 box what color would it be?

Dread: I would be black because black defines the lines. It’s such a strong color, nothing can overpower black

After this intriguing interview Dread blessed me with a sneak peek of his new song titled unfaithful. Unfaithful is not released yet but will be when it is ready.

Dread

Ayo Beckly known as Dread is a new upcoming artist from all around representing the Bay, LA, Atl, and Jackson Mississippi. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dread since 2008 when we entered the freshman class of 2012 at Jackson State University. I love Dread’s music not because he is my friend but because he takes creativity to a whole new level. He is a deep individual with a mind set to grind. He has four mix-tapes DOA Volume I, DOA Volume II Dejavu, The Creativity LP, and Crayons is dropping sometime this fall.  Below are links to his two official videos I Do My Own Thing directed by new upcoming artist Kreayshawn, and The Letter( a new track off the well anticipated Crayons). WATCH THEM AND EXPRESS YOUR THOUGHTS!!! I think that  “I Do My Own Thing”  is a great song with a dope concept and “The Letter” is deep because most people lost their passion and creativity. A letter has meaning and it lasts much longer than an email or text. But what do you think Juicy or Dry?

Hip Hops Kids- They Helped Change The Game Forever

As we all know hip hop stars love to spread their royal oats, so what do these kids look like? I have a few of the children that were born at important times of their dads lives. Legends of the rap game feel the need to flow about these kids! But they aren’t babies anymore.

1.REGINAE CATER –DAUGHTER OF LIL WAYNE

She’s a preteen loving life and is a star of her mom’s tv show Toya: A family affair. Weezy and Toya had Reginae when they were preteens but they know that she is a blessing from God.  The 12 year old is reportedly very charismatic like her father. She a Sagittarius and has the same birthday as me. She’s also a singer and a rapper.

2. T’YANNA WALLACE –DAUGHTER OF THE LATE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

17 year old T’yanna represents her dad in every step she takes. She was born while her father was incarcerated she motivated him to make music instead of sell drugs to get money. This year she graduated from high school and is ready to go to college in the fall.

3.MARQUISE JACKSON-SON OF 50 CENT

13 year old Marquise says he wants to be just like his dad. Marquise was born before his music career really took off. After 50 was shot 9 times he needed to be motivated to keep pursuing his dream. He says his son is one of the main reasons he was able to continue. He is a spitting image of him. He’s excited to start his first year of high school this fall!

4. CHRISTOPHER WALLACE JR.- SON OF B.I.G.

The 14 year old child star stepped on the acting scene for his dream role to play his late father. He was the young B.I.G. in the blockbuster film “Notorious” in 2009. Since then he was also in another film this year with Will Ferrel. His mom Faith Evans is also a music icon so he is destined to be a star.

5. HALLIE JADE- DAUGHTER OF EMINEM

15 year old Hallie is a star because her vocals were used for a several of Eminem’s songs over the years. Eminem said that she is the object of his affection and he even has a tattoo of her picture on his arm. He had a drug problem and almost died of an overdose. He said that his daughter was the reason why he is still living. He came out with the “Recovery” album stating that he will not spiral down again and Hallie is his life.
