Flawless Da Rich Kid Still Going Hard for the Sip

flawless2

He’s Flawless but he didn’t wake up like this like Beyoncé did.  Flawless da Rich Kid is a 26 year old rapper from Mississippi who has been putting in the work for a long time. You’ve probably heard him from his popular song “Watergun”, or even heard him featuring on Hollywood Luck’s song  “Dance in That”.  I’ve known Flawless da Rich Kid since he released his first single “I’m in Here” in 2010, so it was a blessing to interview him cause he has been going hard for the SIP even way before then. Some of his other mix-tapes he are known for is “Show Money or No Money”, “Dh3” “Live 4rm Da Wood Work”,  “100 Bandz” , and the list continues. Check out the interview that I did with him below as well as his official “Watergun” video. Let me know if you think his music is Juicy or Dry. I vote Juicy 🙂

Hollywood Luck Minus the Hollywood Attitude

Hollywood Luck

Some call him Hollywood Luck, most call him Mr. Pole Man, or if you really know him you may call him Duenta Butler.  Luck may have many names but he has many talents to go along with those names. He is not only a successful hard working rapper but he also produces, has his own clothing line, and edits his own videos for his vlogs. Besides his most popular songs “Pole in my Pants” ft. Treasure Tee, “Dance In That” ft. Doe Hicks and Flawless Da Rich Kid, “Salute the Swag”, “Get they B****es”, and “Feeling Myself” ft. K Kamp,  some other projects that he is known for are his mix-tapes including “Inside Man” released February 2011, “Sex Tape” released September 2011, “Inside Man 2-Heart One” released February 2012, Salute the Swag” released May 2012, “Durdy Sprite Remix” released November 2012, “Back 2 School” released Nov 2013, and “Salute the Swag 2” released November 2013. Luck is hardly home but always repping . {*in my drake voice} He released the Road to Rich Sh** DVD to showcase all the time, energy, and effort that plays into the background in making Hollywood Luck who he is today.  No matter where he travels for shows, he represents his hometown Jackson Mississippi. One of the things he wants to be known for is putting Jackson on the map. Luck has hit some great milestones throughout his career one of them includes working with one of his idols Pimp C before he passed away in 2007. It was a pleasure interviewing this humble driven artist because I’ve personally been following his music since 2011 when I was attending Jackson State University. Don’t let the name Hollywood scare you away, it means many things but it doesn’t describe his attitude! Check out his merchandise and to download some of his music go to www.1stupluck.bandcamp.com You can also get his music on iTunes by clicking the link —> Hollywood Luck Watch the interview I did with him below as well as his popular releases “Pole in my Pants” and ” Dance in That”. Jet League Interview

Jet League is like family to me. They are very humble determined men and I was elated for the opportunity to interview them to see their mindset in 2014.

jet league logo

Juicy Peach: So your name is Killa Cam and yours is Kool Kid Beezi, what’s killer/dope about you Cam? Beezi what makes you cool?

Cam: Well Killa Cam is not to be said in the same sentence cause it would be quite cliché cause it’s already a camera. So it’s either one or the other. Either you call me Killa or you call me Cam. Never at the same time. It’s like a split personality like Tip and T.I. Cam is the more articulate, professional and business minded individual. Killa is when I kill em,  like the party animal. I go hard I’m real positive toward anything that ain’t about business. So killa is kinda like the alter ego.

Beezi: It’s my whole demanor and my whole persona. When I come across, people notice how cool, calm, and collective I am. It’s really side of people where everybody need a cool calm side where they sit back and think before they make decisions and before they say the wrong thing. It keep people in a positive world with a positive mind set at all times so that’s just how I carry myself. I keep cool at all times.

Juicy Peach: What was deciding factor that made you say having a music career is a must?

Cam: Music is something that’s second nature. We grew up doing music all our lives. So basically it was a natural growing talent that we’ve always possessed. Seeing the position of society and seeing how hip hop is a culture and how we help change and mode society, we felt like our voices needed to be heard. We actually have a message and substance about ourselves as young men and we are able to bring change. So we stand for change. Music is a way for us to have a platform to speak and a lot of people right now have that platform but really ain’t talking bout too much of nothing. So really music is our outlet for us to help put our imprint on society.

Juicy Peach: The first song that I’ve heard from y’all was “Richter Scale”. That’s when I knew y’all were dope. How has y’all music grown since then?

Beezi: Music has to have area of growth at all times, you can’t just get in a place of contentment with your victory or with any art.  Being an artist you always gone be able to go back over and pretty much make it better than what it was. Find inspiration in any or everything. So we really just look up to any artist that came out before us no matter who they are whether they good or whether they whack. It’s the fact that they’re doing it. That’s what gives us room to progress. Just like our image makes our sound better as far as the beat. So how we approach the song that we write and even the audience that we are trying to get the song to appeal to. That’s really what it’s all about. It’s so many messages put out through music from so many different types of people. So we trying to make sure that we are broad and aware of the different type of people and what they’re listening to.

Juicy Peach: How has the transition been from loosing two members from the group? Will yall every get back together?

Cam: It was a humbling experience, it was drastic so to speak but basically it helped mode Jet League to become what it is right now so just because the two members are no longer here in the group doesn’t mean that they are not apart of the movement. It’s to the point where only the strong survive or survival of the fittest so me and Bezzi are in the position to go ahead and bring it home.  Sometimes you have to just really carry the weight and the baggage. So that’s what we are doing right now.

Juicy Peach: How does it feel to know that ATL support by playing your music in the clubs?

Cam: We put in the proper work and the time to get the support. So actually we paid the fruits of our labor.  If you work hard you supposed to see results. So it’s not like I’m feeling a certain type of way or we feel elated. We really gave them something to believe in, we gave people hope. Like you said we had more members and people thought we weren’t going to be able to bounce back from that. We keep putting it in,  we kept grinding, we kept working hard and what you see right now you’re going to continue to see. You will continue to see growth in Jet League and the whole movement. This is a movement. This is an empire.

Juicy Peach: Will you guys be performing in Mississippi soon?

Beezi: Hopefully. We are always looking forward to go back home and do shows. Mississippi molded us to the young men we are today. So those shows that we end up doing in Mississippi are some of the best shows that we ever get a chance to do because it’s so much love down there and so much family. It’s a home feel and we really get the most support there than we get anywhere. Yes we always look forward to doing shows in Mississippi. We actually been trying to get down there and show some love to some of the people down there this coming up weekend. That’s if we get a chance to but if not we will get a chance to come back down there and show up.

Juicy Peach: In the videos and on the pictures I see y’all rocking The Jet League gear. Is it being sold in stores? When will it be?

Cam: Actually right now its not being sold in mass quantities. Basically we did it from supplier in the Home Team Apparel. You take the logo on a hoodie that they provide themselves and we put the imprint of the logo on the front and we have our Salute the dj’s and our twitter and instagram on the back of the hoodie. I’m glad that you asked that because we are in the process of making it feasible so that we can sell it in mass quantites and get a distributor, so we can actually make profit off of it. So that’s in the works right now as we speak. They are nationwide so you can go to any Home Team Apparel in a city near you and you will be able to get it. As long as you have the Jet League logo you really can get it done yourself in a store that does printing.

Juicy Peach: What are your music goals in 2014? Who have you not yet worked with but desire to?

Beezi: Basically our music goals in 2014 is to expand, just to get bigger than what we ever imagined of becoming. Network and team up with anybody that’s willing for growth cause I’m sure that any and every team that’s out here doing the same thing that we’re doing needs growth. We just want to be apart of that growth and we want everybody apart of our growth because Jet League is way bigger than just me and Cam of course. The industry wise and music wise we are the artists behind Jet League but Jet League consists of many components. So there is always room for growth, there is always room for a team of more people to do what they feel like needs to be done to make our image and our movement more grand. We getting bigger and better this year 2014 really just taking the whole industry by storm.  Really doing everything on our own, bossing up Yo Gotti style.

Cam: I would like to add one thing. 2014 is going to bring a movement called outlaw music. Basically all of our music is going to be outlaw. We will be bringing that southern style but its kind of like that old 365 mafia, the old project pat, yo gotti.. It’s a representation of where we from and how we rock out. It really started down there in Mississippi really. So its gone end in Mississippi.

Juicy Peach: If you had your own personal jet, where would you fly to?

Beezi: If I had my own personal jet I know I would probably go overseas. I’d probably go to Africa or something like that and just go see something that I’ve always wanted to see. Egypt in particular is something that I know I want to see, like the pyramids because that’s something that holds some value and history. Stuff that really took apart of the creation of me and my people. I would fly somewhere to gain some knowledge I wouldn’t just go somewhere just to be flying to stay on the jet, I’d go somewhere that helps me become a better person.

Cam: I wouldn’t fly anywhere really. No if my people can’t come with me, that’s the whole reason behind Jet League. I will try to get as many people as I can but if I cant bring my people with me its no where that’s worth me going really. A jet is a mind set so mind has already took off somewhere. Get Fly or Get Flown Over but with all seriousness there’s not a particular place that I would want to go I’m the type of person that’s so sincere and loving  towards people that I really don’t wanna fly over no body but its inevitable get fly or get flown over. So basically I give people the opportunity to take flight with me.

Elmore McConnell Personal Fitness Trainer (Interview)

Juicy Peach: How do you connect with your clients? Are there certain techniques that you use?

Elmore: Basically I connect with them by asking questions in order to find out their history and find out what’s going on in their lives in order to find out the reason that they do want to get into shape. Once I find out the reason I’m able to connect because chances are I’ve met other people just like them. What happens is a lot of clients think that they’re the only ones who’s going through what they’re going through right now.

Juicy Peach: What advice can you give someone who’s on a weight loss journey but wants to give up?

Elmore: The thing is don’t think about how far you have to go, think about how far you have come so far. So what you want to be able to do is use the small victories that you have in order to motivate you because it’s all about momentum. So if you did a great job eating today and you didn’t cheat or fall off on what you were trying to do, use that as motivation because it is about small victories in order to get victory. Just like small hills will equal a large mountain.

Juicy Peach: Speaking of motivation what motivates you to continue your personal fitness?

Elmore: Basically coming from the background that I came of course from being an  African American well where I’m from in Alabama we just called ourselves black. I come from a family who is used to eating fried chicken 3 or 4 times a day or eating fried foods period, a lot of drinks whether its alcohol, of course smoking and different things like that. So I come from an unhealthy background. My dad had lung cancer and also he’s born in 1925 so he started smoking cigarettes at a young age, he was 11. So watching those things coming up as a kid and watching my dad leave because of health issues. Also my grandparents leaving because of health issues it motivated me to want to be able to help others. Because I know if I’m able to help others than I’m able to help myself and keep myself motivated.

Juicy Peach: What is your daily diet?

Elmore: On a daily I main fix things like chicken and fish and also I love to do things as far as clean eating. The simplest way to remember that is to always eat fresh fruits and vegetables. So never buy anything that’s in a box or a can. Not even a bag for that matter unless it’s vegetables, sometimes you can go with the frozen vegetables but its best to stick to the fresh fruits and vegetables and also anything as far as sea food , chicken, and fish.

Juicy Peach: I saw the Youtube video when you were talking about the growing trend of type 2 diabetes within the African American community but I wanted to ask you what workout advice is helpful for those who are missing legs?

Elmore: It really would vary depending on the person because I actually have a best friend who is a amputate and he has of course the leg on a trample leg. So he has one of those so it really depends on if the person has the leg or not but they’re mobile. From there we can do workouts as far as squats and things like that but they can also use a stationary bike.  So it’s really up to them and their emotional limitations that they have. If they have none then that’s awesome. You can also do an ergometer and it’s almost like a bike except you’re using your arms. Its different exercises that you can do but always advise people to see a professional physician first and then they can seek the guidance of a personal trainer.

Juicy Peach: Have you ever considered having your own shoe design? Is there a certain shoe that you know that’s better than others for weight loss?

Elmore: I never thought about a shoe design but typically what I would prescribe to a person who is type 2 is to find shoes that are comfortable. You don’t want to get any shoes that are hard and tough on your feet. There are some Nikes I think they are Pegasus. It’s very soft so it really depends on the person and also if they are up in age they may have fluid on their leg and their ankles look swollen so it really depends on their feet and also their current level of fitness.

Juicy Peach: Just from looking at pictures of your body in my eyes everything seems perfect. Do you feel that you have personal work to do on yourself?

Elmore: I do and that’s the thing that you should always do is always look for things to better yourself and go through phases where you say I want to rebuild. Allow yourself to rest and rebuild and that’s going to allow you to reach un measurable goals.

Juicy Peach: Since the blog is called The Juicy Expressions I do have a juicy question for you. As someone who is deep into fitness could you see yourself dating someone who is not into fitness?

Elmore: I can and I have. I have dated people from Alabama and my mom and my grandma and auntie is very big. So now they live a healthy lifestyle but their sizes for them they are considered not what you see the typical women on the magazines. Yes I have dated women who are out of the fitness world. Let’s just say I like my women big. I wouldn’t date skinny women.

Juicy Peach: Is there anything that you would like your fans to know?

Elmore: Just know that right now it’s easy to connect with me so feel free to contact through social media on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. You can follow me @wetrainatlanta. You can hit me up and I will answer back within 24hours or less.
