TJE We Hustle Cypher 2016 {Behind The Scenes}

The Juicy Expressions “We Hustle” Cypher 2016 was recorded on October 25, 2015 at the famous recording studio, “Terminal Studios” in Jackson, MS. The initial idea to host this cypher evolved from one of the original reasons why I began my blog. I wanted to shed light on the people who possess raw talent, but are also very committed to their hustle. Everyone’s hustle is different, but it takes strength and resilience to keep it going throughout the different trials and tribulations one may face.

The TJE “We Hustle” Cypher 2016 is a celebration of the second anniversary of “thejuicyexpressions.com”.  For those who don’t know my full history with TJE, I originally started my blog in 2011 but fell off due to unexpected circumstances. I relaunched the blog on January 29, 2014. Not only am I the owner and blogger for TJE, I also have many other hustles including being a single mother and a law school student. I am a woman that understands the true definition of Hustlin.

Each of these individuals in this cypher brought many different elements of juice to the table. The full cypher will officially be released on New Years January 1, 2016, but watch the behind the scenes footage below. If you have any predications on who verse went the hardest comment them below!!!!

ScottyATL Meet & Greet (Jackson, MS)

On December 5, 2015, the Mississippi Media Works Studio hosted the ScottyATL Meet & Greet right before the Kritically Acclaimed Concert kicked off at Hal & Mal’s. The “Kritically Acclaimed Tour” is Big K.R.I.T.’S 39 city tour where Scotty ATL was one of the special guests who opened up for him. Everyone knows that it is an amazing opportunity to open up for K.R.I.T. because although Big K.R.I.T. fans are very loyal to his music, they are also very open to hearing any good music that touches the soul. So you may gain a lot of new fans after opening up for the King of the South.

At times people feel that things should be handed to them because of their current status however, ScottyATL was very humble and eager to make his own connections with people in the city of Jackson. Although many would feel that they’ve “made it” with songs with B.o.B., Bun B, Doe B, Big K.R.I.T., etc..ScottyATL appears to be yearning for much more.  My first time seeing ScottyATL perform was at this tour and he operated as if he had something to prove. He executed a high energy level performance that shaped the crowd to interact with him. I’m looking forward for the future accomplishments from ScottyATL because his work ethic declares that he will be here for a while.

Die Once Live Once {D.O.L.O. The Artist}

Dominic Edozie Adagbonyin better known as D.O.L.O. doesn’t take the meaning of his name lightly. Die Once Live Once, is a name that was given to him by his brother when he was just a youngin. Motivated by the death of his mother, this twenty-five year old artist is determined to push his music even harder. “Before My Time” is his latest album that dropped September 29, 2015. There are 25 tracks total, with some being skits but here are some of my favorites on this project:

KD Young Cocky Rises In The Heat of The Moment

KD Young Cocky, is a Chicago artist that continues to push weight with his music. With his latest 11 track project “Heat of the Moment”, that dropped July 28th, he created more buzz about his artistry than before. “If you ain’t getting money what you come around for?” That is the question that KD Young Cocky asks in his song “Check Up”. This song is dope because it expresses the point of the come up, which is to elevate oneself as an individual and to make money. Well, at least that’s what most of us desire. I also really like his track “Boss Up” ft. Neil gang discussing how he rocks with a certain female.

Not only is KD Young Cocky an artist but he is a great father to his little girl. Although he started his music way before his daughter was born, he feels that she has been a bigger motivation on his road to success.
